Check out this awesome artilce published in the National Geographic Adventure Blog title "Expedition Denali: Making History, Building a Legacy." It's about a group of climbers/naturalist trying to find creative ways to inspire youth of color—and particularly African American youth—to get outside, get active, and become stewards of our wild places.
As someone who has summited Denali, I have experienced the absolutely breath taking views and the extreme and strenuous conditions. Not only was it one of the most beautiful places I think I'll ever get to experience, but it was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I hope all you, no matter what ethnic backround you come from, have an experience in nature similar to what Denali did for me.
